Sworn Translation

27 Jul, 2022

Sworn translation is a translation service with proven authenticity. Unlike regular texts or articles, official documents that need to be translated into another language must have this authenticity, ensuring that the translation is true and correct, without any change to the content included in the document.

How is this process done?

For the translator to be able to perform this type of translation, he/she must be approved in a public examination for the title of Sworn Translator, also known as Public Translator or Commercial Interpreter.

What is the Sworn Translation service for?

Sworn translation is needed for documents that require translation with proven authenticity. This service is used in several cases, such as contracts and proceedings, citizenship certificates, powers of attorney, product certificates, among others, as provided for in Chapter VII of Law 14.195/2021.

Eko’s has a qualified team that is specialized in sworn translations. Our team translates the document according to the area of work. Therefore, when we receive a judicial document to be translated, it is assigned to our team of translators with legal expertise in the subject matter, thus ensuring a top-quality translation.
